Avalla Internet Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement applies to your use of the web sites of Avlla LLC at
"www.avalla.net" and "www.myavalla.net". This includes utilizing
any of the Company's facilities via the web sites.
Information technology continues to present new and exciting opportunities.
However, many people are concerned about how their personal information will
be used. We recognize that our users may have concerns about their privacy and
confidentiality while online. We are committed to ensuring the privacy of our
users whilst using our web sites.
The following Privacy Statement has been published to provide a clear and concise
outline of how and when personal information is collected, stored and distributed
by Avalla. This Privacy Statement covers personal information collected via
Avalla’s web sites.
Personal Information Collected
The nature of personal information collected and maintained by Avalla generally
comprises name, address, account number, contact details (including phone, fax
and e-mail) and order history, sales and sponsoring history and earnings from
Avalla activity history and the hierarchical relationships. Personal information
is collected for the purposes of establishing and building a business opportunity
relationship with you. If you provide incomplete or inaccurate information,
we may not be able to provide you with the services you are seeking.
For statistical purposes we collect information on: web site activity (such
as the number of users who visit the web sites; the date and time of visits;
the number of pages viewed; navigation patterns; what country and what systems
users have used to access the sites; and, when entering our web sites from another
web site; the address of that web site) through the use of "cookies". This information
on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide Avalla with statistics
that we can use to analyze and improve our web sites. As mentioned in this statement
we only use Cookies on our Consultant web site to control the order entry session.
We do not collect information about anyone's political or religious beliefs,
ethnic background or sexual preferences.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
Unless you have instructed us not to do so, personal information may be shared
with related companies within Avalla, where it will remain confidential. Our
goal is to use the information you provide to conduct business, service orders,
pay Bonuses and to provide administrative support services to make your business
dealings with Avalla enjoyable and rewarding.
Avalla undertakes not to sell, rent or trade your personal information.
We will not disclose information about you unless the disclosure is:
· required by law (e.g. the Canada/US Taxation Office has the power to
order us to disclose information on your account/s);
· is authorized by law (e.g. to protect our interests or where we have
a duty to the public to disclose); or
· you have consented to our disclosing the information about you.
There may be circumstances in which we consider a Consultant or customer, by
his or her actions, to have released us from our duty of confidentiality or
has consented to the disclosure of information about him or her without actually
saying so. An example, where a Consultant or customer has discussed his or her
position publicly to the media.
As with most business organizations, Avalla relies on third party suppliers
to conduct specialized activities such as mail-outs, credit checks and the provision
of internet services and the processing of specialized media and direct mail
activity. These suppliers act on behalf of Avalla and do not facilitate their
own commercial objectives whilst processing your personal information. While
personal information may be provided to these suppliers to enable them to perform
their agreed tasks, such information remains the property of Avalla at all times
and the supplier organizations involved are bound by specific confidentiality
and non-disclosure agreements.
Further, Avalla takes its obligations to protect Consultant or customer information
very seriously and we make every effort to deal only with ethical suppliers
who share and demonstrate this same attitude.
Personal Information Quality
Our goal is to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete and
up-to-date. To assist us with this, please contact us if any of the details
you have provided change. Further, if you believe that the information we have
about you is not accurate, complete or up-to-date, contact us and we will use
all reasonable effort to correct the information.
Personal Information Security
Avalla is committed to keeping secure the data you provide us and we will take
all reasonable precautions to protect your personally identifiable information
from loss, misuse or alteration.
Avalla’s Online Ordering System, uses the highest levels of technology
to ensure maximum security, including encryption of all customer data sent between
your computer and the Company's system.
Access To Personal Information
You can request us to provide you with access to the personal information we
hold about you. If we are able to, we will provide you with access. A fee may
apply to such access. If we deny your request for access, we will let you know
why. Access is limited to our record of your name, address, occupation, marital
status, age, sex, account details including order history, sales and sponsoring
history and earnings from Nutrimetics activity history and the hierarchical
relationships all relating to your own account.
Cookies
A "cookie" is a packet of information that allows the server (the computer that
houses the web site) to identify and interact more effectively with your computer.
When you use our Consultant web site, we send you a temporary cookie that gives
you a unique identification number. A different identification number is sent
each time you use our web site. Cookies do not identify individual users, although
they do identify a user's browser type and your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
To evaluate the effectiveness of our web sites appeal and user-friendliness,
we may use third parties to collect statistical data. No personal data will
be collected on these occasions.
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or
notify you when a cookie is sent. Please refer to your browser instructions
or help screens to learn more about these functions. Our order entry system
does require cookies during the order entry process, however it does not use
the information once the order is complete.
At the end of your interaction with our web site, you can have your computer
ensure that the cookie is deleted. This means it no longer exists on your computer
and therefore it cannot be used for further identification or access to your
computer.
Promotional Material via e-mail
We acknowledge and respect a user's choice to opt- out of Avalla’s marketing
communications activities. Should you decide you do not wish to receive marketing
or promotional materials, via email, from Avalla please email us, being sure
to include your name, address and account number(s).
Changes to this Statement
Avalla may make changes to this Privacy Statement from time to time for any
reason. We will publish those changes on our web sites. This Privacy Statement
was last amended on July 12th, 2004.
